PENTHOUSE IN CLASSIC STYLE
The apartment is located on the top floor of a new residential complex.
The ceilings are over 3.5 meters high. Clients dreamed of a French-style apartment with ornate forging, fireplace, stucco and antique furnishings. It was decided to base the style on the French classics, but dilute it with modern pieces of furniture and decor.
The apartment is small, with an area of about 77 m2. It includes a common area with an entrance hall, kitchen and living room, owner’s bedroom and a bathroom. In order to use the space even more functionally, the clients wanted to build an additional floor on a small area of the apartment and arrange a lounge area on it.

COMMON AREA
Since the ceiling height is more than 3.5 m, it was decided to make a 2nd level above the bathroom, namely to build a mezzanine, the staircase to which is located in the living room. The black metal structure looks spectacular against the background of the white interior, decorated with an abundance of stucco moldings.
KITCHEN
The kitchen consists of two zones — the main wall, on which the cooking process takes place, and an additional one with two free-standing storage columns, in which the built-in appliances are located.
On one of the walls is a huge storage system. One part of it, a closed one, hides a laundry room, the other, an opened one, a bookcase from floor to ceiling. A dimmable vertical lightbox is located behind the shelving body, which is an additional source of illumination. This rack can be accessed both from the main level of the room and from the mezzanine.

BATHROOM
Due to the mezzanine in the main area, the ceiling in the bathroom has become low. In order to somehow raise it on the ceiling, caissons with horizontal dimmable light boxes are designed. Glossy wide-format ceramic granite was used on the walls and floor, and the wall with the washbasin was completely tiled with a mirror. In the bathroom, as in the rest of the apartment, classic and modern elements are combined: a classic toilet with a high barrel is on friendly terms with a minimalistic countertop. The material “like brass” gives “classicism” to modern mixers.
BEDROOM
The boudoir atmosphere is diluted with a minimalist art object hanging over the head of the bed. So that the high ceiling of a small bedroom does not look disproportionate, it was decided to lower the color of the ceiling to the walls and add additional plaster elements. On the opposite wall from the bed there is a fireplace portal made in natural stone.
